I once read an article about photographing flowers through shower glass (plastic). The idea was to make a photo appear more impressionistic than just straight forward photography. So I tried it and rather liked the result. I suggest using it on flowers to give a different effect. Since I have been doing a fair amount of palette knife painting I thought this particular picture would work well with the knife. It does look somewhat impressionistic and also a bit abstract. Wildflowers growing out of cracks in rocks has been given a new look. Haven't decided yet whether or not I like it in oil but I am getting used to it and may try others. Let me know what you think! For the adventurous, it is available directly from the artist. Contact me at pwhitacre@att.net.
